Greenville, South Carolina Wedding: Katie + Stephen

I love weddings. I love the anticipation of seeing the bride make her appearance. The look on the groom's face when he sees her. The food, the fellowship and of course the dancing. Katie and Stephen's wedding weekend had all these things and more. The spirit of them, their family and friends was palpable - I honestly think you could feel the love in the air. Their families played an important part in their wedding, just as they have in their lives. Katie's older brother, who's a minister, served as their officiant, her sisters, current sister-in-law and soon to be sister-in-law all stood by her side. Stephen's father and brother both stood by his side as well. And their mothers beamed at them with smiles that showed how happy and proud they were of their "babies." After the happy tears had dried from the ceremony, it was time to party and boy did we ever. The band, The Design (based in Raleigh!), got people out on the dance floor and kept us there until the hotel politely told them it was time to pull the plug - it's always a good sign of a great party when no one wants it to end.

As as guest, it's always a little bit tricky to take pics during the ceremony, but I snuck in a few and then had a blast capturing a few highlights of the reception when I wasn't stuffing my face with shrimp-n-grits. I also found a chance to chat up their AMAZING photographer, Jen Hunt (after a subtle push from friends... thanks guys).

All in all, it was a fantastic time! Congrats Stephen & Katie! May you have a lifetime filled with the happiness and love you shared on your wedding day.
