Jonathan + Lee: Rehearsal Dinner, The Champions Room, The Greenbrier Golf Club, White Sulphur Springs, WV

I've said it before, but I'll say it again, I love Rehearsal Dinners because they set the tone for the weekend. It feels like it's the first time everyone has finally stepped back, taken a breath, and is ready to enjoy the wedding festivities. With all the last minute preparations complete, it's time to relax and celebrate the upcoming marriage of two lovely people in love and ready to embark on an incredible journey together.

Lee is one of the loveliest and fun-loving people I know and after meeting Jonathan, I know exactly why they chose each other. They are a perfect match and their happiness is contagious.

A treat for the flower girl...

This makes me miss the mountains... So pretty West Virginia.

I LOVED the center pieces for the rehearsal dinner. One of Jonathan's favorite events of the year is the Masters, so they had a Masters themed rehearsal dinner in the appropriately named, Champions Room.

Where to begin?

Last week was kind of crazy... there was an earthquake, I got an iPad2!, I went to the ER, ended up getting admitted to the hospital and having surgery 2 days later, I placed 3rd in the WPS Convention Live Judging, and to wrap things up there was a hurricane. It is not a week I will soon forget, that is for sure.

Now that I'm bedridden for the next few days, I can focus on all the editing and blogging I've been wanting to do, but haven't found time to sit down to do... no excuses now!

To start things off, I'll share my image that placed in the live judging! This was seriously one of the most nerve wracking contests I've ever entered. It's one thing to enter your image (which you basically view as your children) to be judged behind closed doors, and quite another to have them judged in a room full of your peers, out loud... I think my stomach was in knots the entire time, but I survived and more importantly, I learned a lot by listening to the critiques. You can view all the winners here!

Happy Monday!

I just had an AH-MAZING wedding weekend. I have a TON of editing to do (so it may be a little while till I can do a proper post), but thought I'd share a quick shot of the gorgeous venue, The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, WV.

Check back soon for the whole she-bang!

WPS Convention Live Shoot

Umm... live shoot with Tim Sayer and Christobal Perez? Yes please. These guys are at the top of their game, so watching them in action was awesome. Plus, we got to spend some time with the models as well...

First up, brides, bustiers and lots of light.

Next up, an engagement shoot with a gorgeous couple who had actually been married for a few years, but were obviously more in love than ever.

before the kiss and after the kiss...

Coco: Year 2

I know two's get a bad rap, being terrible and such, so I'm more than happy to report a great shoot with a pretty awesome little lady (you might remember her from here), who just happened to turn two. The shoot also made me realize that even though the toddler stage may be fraught with tantrums, potty training terrors and lots of use of the word "NO!"... it's also when you begin to see little personalities form, their idiosyncrasies, likes and definite dislikes, and tiny vision of the person they'll become. It may be my favorite age... granted I was treated to a perfect, tantrum free evening, so I may be biased.

Thank you Miss Coco!
