Jonathan + Lee: Post Wedding Photo Shoot

I love these two. I could photograph them all day every day. We never had a chance to do an engagement shoot before the wedding, but I'm kind of glad it worked out that way, since we got to schedule an amazing post wedding shoot instead in Roanoke, which served as the perfect half-way point for us. I had no idea Roanoke was such a great photo shoot location, and I'm kind of in love with the city's downtown.

Hmmm... I think I know who got married?

Harper: Year 1

I don't know how it's possible, but Harper seems to get cuter and her eyes seem to get bluer every time I see her.

And she's off....

Someone's a character.... hehe.

This fella is a service dog and loves to make the rounds at the hospital to cheer up patients.
Harper was impressed.

Thanks for a gorgeous evening Miss Harper!

The K Family

Brotherly love. Sometimes it's shared in secrets, or playful punches, in fits of laughter, or maybe even hugs. With brothers, you're not always sure how it's going to turn up, but you know it will. The K family boys definitely kept me on my toes, but even in the craziness of climbing around trains, balancing acts on tracks, jumps, sprints, and maybe even posing for a picture or two with mom and dad, it's easy to can see how much they love each other and I loved photographing them.

Our session started out at the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Roanoke, VA, which served as the perfect place for 3 boys with lots of energy, lots of curiosity, and no fear... of anything.

Monkey see, monkey do

Very proud of the dirty hands and thought mom's skirt would serve as the perfect way to clean them...

Decided to go for the "pirate" smile... which is actually not a smile at all, and very scary.

Boys will be boys...

 Someone spotted a real train!

The toy variety is pretty exciting too though.

 Time to venture downtown!

Thank you so much for a great day K Family!
