Maria Jane

Smiles while sleeping. Snuggles into soft blankets and warm arms. Miss Maria is a happy baby... although I don't know who's happier - her or her mom & dad. The excitement shown before her arrival can't rival the love and joy they have now.

Excuse me. I'm sleeping...

Harper

It's time to deck the halls and Miss Harper is now able to "help" or at least look adorable trying. I've also learned she's super mobile now... and fast. It's incredible how much she's grown since her first Christmas photos!

The C Family: Beatrice's Christmas

I cannot believe how fast the past year has flown. It really feels like only yesterday I was in the C Family's home with Miss Bea, photographing her first Christmas. And now, here we are, a year older, hopefully wiser, and getting ready for the holiday season all over again.

Beatrice is now walking(!?), talking and I am just blown away by what an important step that is for her family. She was a premie (born 11 weeks early), so the milestones in any baby's life are that much more sacred for a little one that fought just to survive. You can read all about her story and her hilarious daily antics on her mom's blog here! My personal favorite is her recent affinity for calling her dad by his first name... rather than dad. She's a firecracker, that's for sure.

I love every opportunity to capture these moments and really, just to hang out with this family. To watch their Bea grow over the past year and a half has been amazing and I'm so thankful that I got to photograph her and her mom & dad.

They're a special group of people.

Beatrice discovered magnolia tree seed pods, which she loved and lovingly referred to as cones, because well, they do look just like pine cones. She loved them so much in fact, it was tough to get her to put them down... even for a present.

HA! Not sure what brought on this expression, but I'm glad I got it.

Time for a milk break. Some for dad, some for Bea.

And some sustenance for Bea...

and Mom too...

and some more for Bea
