Daniel + Marcela: Raleigh, NC Wedding

International romances make my heart melt. The effort you have to put forth to make it work is 10 times that of any relationship in the same city or even same continent. The time differences, distance to travel, language barriers, uprooting your life as you know it and knowing your family and friends are no longer right around the corner... if you're willing to jump over these hurtles, then my friend, you have found The One. I have no doubt that this is the case for Dan and Marcela. The way they stare into each others' eyes and whisper sweet words of love to each other in Spanish, I thought I might melt into a puddle right on the spot at their wedding. There was just so much tenderness and chemistry between them. And this was actually the 2nd time they'd been through it! The first wedding was in Chile with Marcela's family this past spring and then they had a second celebration in Raleigh for all of Dan's family and friends, so they were kind of old hats at the wedding thing, but it didn't make the second time around any less special and certainly just as fun - though I'm told the Chilean crowd did keep the party going till about dawn the next morning. The American wedding was a blast and they did a great job of incorporating lots of Chilean elements, such as instead of a champagne toast, they served pisco sours. You could tell how excited and happy Dan's family and friends were to welcome Marce to America and to their family. I know they have a lifetime of love and happiness ahead of them. Congrats Dan & Marcela!
