They met in college at Wake Forest when he spotted her at a fraternity party and thought she was pretty cute. She's the life of the party and he was drawn to her immediately. He played it cool though, didn't want to seem too interested, even though he knew he liked her right away. They started a friendship, but she was pretty clueless about his feelings. Little did he know she had developed a crush on him as well. It wasn't until he got the nerve to kiss her while they were vacationing with friends for "Post Exams" as the Deacons refer to it, "Beach Week" for us Wahoos, in Myrtle Beach that all their cards were out on the table. It was the start of their relationship and even though his job and her grad school work would force them into a long distance relationship, they weathered through it and came out even stronger in their faith and love for each other. She made the big move to Raleigh once school was through and it was after she made this life altering commitment to him, that he knew she was the one. He proposed on another vacation, this time in Germany while they were enjoying Okotoberfest, and she said "YES!" Very enthusiastically I'm told.
What a cute couple! I'm so excited for their wedding next month!
