Jonathan + Lee: The Wedding, Part One, The Greenbrier, White Sulphur Springs, WV

The day I found out that Jonathan & Lee were engaged, I was super excited for them, and then when they asked me to be their photographer, I was speechless. It is such an honor to photograph a wedding, but to photograph the wedding of a friend, is really special. Lee and I worked together for a healthcare non-profit in DC, and bonded over our love of our alma mater, UVA, event planning and J.Crew. After a few years in DC, she headed off to law school at West Virginia, where she met her match, Jonathan. I only heard of him through emails and updates on Facebook, but anyone could see how happy they were together.

Enjoy Part One of their beautiful day!

Venue: The Greenbrier
Bridal Gown: Priscilla of Boston
Flowers: Gillespie's Flowers
Groom's Attire: JoS. A. Bank and Vineyard Vines
Bridesmaids' Attire: Lilly Pulitzer

LOVE these shoes - gorgeous and since they're flats, practical too!

Jonathan is a master bow-tier, which is not an easy skill to come by...

Time for the first look. I was SOOO glad that they decided to do a first look and wedding party photos prior to the ceremony. It's such an intimate moment and since Lee is such a planner, she built in lots of time for portraits after the first look as well, which means they get tons of photos of just the two of them, and looking fabulous I might add.

Ah! So gorgeous...

Simply stunning.

The more I got to know Jonathan, the more I realized how hilarious he is. He kept us laughing throughout the day.

Next up, the ceremony and reception!
