The circus came to Raleigh the same weekend that Water for Elephants was
released (nice coincidence!), and since I recently saw the movie
(which I LOVED), I thought I would share the photo I grabbed when I
drove by (though I didn't actually get to see the show...)
If you're a fan of the book and even if you haven't read the book, I would definitely recommend it - if for no other reason than the beautiful cinematography and Reese's wardrobe. There are some difficult scenes with animal cruelty (had to close my eyes and shed a few tears), but the love story and the amazing Rosy the elephant will leave you smiling and maybe even shedding a few happy tears.

i haven't been to the circus in forever. next time it comes, lets go. i may have to hide my eyes for the clowns though!
